To serve our community wholeheartedly while never forgetting we are all the same. The spirit of servanthood overwhelms and guides us to assist those who need a helping hand in their trying season.
There is no room to stereotype or place judgment when you are helping your neighbor. We focus on the need, not the person.
We realize so many of us are only pay checks away from having to seek assistance. We are determined to help as many families and individuals as possible.
Setting the standard with Love, Integrity, Patience, Understanding, Meekness, Faithfulness, and Gratitude.
*Love Conquers All*
1 Corinthians 13
We need love. We speak love. We spread love.
The Founder of Need2Feed Foundation is truly the definition of a “superwoman” who wears many hats. That title alone sets a high standard for her future.
Born and raised in St. Augustine, Florida, where she has spent more than half of her life, Marcea has seen her community grow tremendously and has seen the growing need to feed those in the area. Her passion for community service and hospitality prompted her to embark on the Need2Feed journey.
In 2017, her husband, children, sisters, nieces, nephews, both her biological mom as well as her stepmother, and a few friends assisted in making the first annual Need2Feed Thanksgiving and Christmas a success. She says, “Each year has been greater than the previous year. Marcea and her family and friends have made huge impacts for individuals and families throughout the community using their own money for the benefit of others.
In 2019, Marcea joined her cousin, the Founder of Touch a Hand Bless a Heart, Erykah Martin, in one of the biggest Christmas giveaways in their community. They effortlessly assisted one another throughout the year, making lasting memories for those in need. No request is turned down by either of them, and they are always using each other’s strength to press through hard times.
In 2021, her friend Arcelona, a resident of Jacksonville, and she would start feeding over 100 people once a month in downtown Jacksonville. They also purchased and prepared the meals with love and even provided toiletries for the individuals. She would leave from her church in Palm Coast, travel over an hour to meet with Arcelona to spend 20-30 minutes to feed some of the hungry residents, and then drive back south to her home in St. Augustine. This act of kindness continues to this day.
She stands firm on being blessed to be a blessing. Seeing a smile on someone else’s face or receiving a hug for paying for the elderly ladies’ groceries right behind her in the grocery store is more than enough to keep the momentum. She says, “God has been good to me, so I must return the favor because it all belongs to Him anyway!”
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and fund our mission.
